Raid Al-Tahir, Dr.

Senior Lecturer
Raid Al-Tahir is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Geomatics Engineering and Land Management, the University of the West Indies (Trinidad and Tobago). He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering, the University of New Brunswick (Canada). He has more than 25 years of experience in teaching Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, and Spatial Analysis. His research interests focus on spatial data collection and quantitative analysis using images from satellite, aerial, and drone platforms and Lidar data to address issues related to land cover dynamics with implications for environmental degradation and natural resource management.
