Shane Ragbir GISP, PMP

Mr. Shane Ragbir has been a professional in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) industry for over 9 years. He is currently the Head of the Geospatial Technology Division at Amalgamated Security Services Ltd (ASSL) where he boasts of a versatile repertoire of geospatial data analysis and management skills. Shane's pioneering use of GIS at ASSL and the security industry has been recognized internationally by IDG Magazine in their 2015 Annual CIO 100 Awards for the innovative use of technology in the creation of business value. His work has also been honored locally by the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries (TTCSI) in their 2015 Awards for the innovative use of technology in the provision of services. Additionally, he has provided Geospatial Consultancy services locally to reputable organizations such as Label House Ltd., Pepper Advertising., V. Boodram Engineering Ltd as well as regionally to Antilles Economics, operating out of Barbados. Academically, Mr. Ragbir holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering from the University of the West Indies and well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Geoinformatics from the same. He has also been awarded his Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) from the Project Management Institution (PMI) and his GIS Professional Certification (GISP) from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI). Shane is also an executive member of the Geographic Information Systems Society of Trinidad and Tobago (GISSTT), where he currently serves as President.
